本剧讲述了弗林医生（里斯·谢尔史密斯饰）在医学院毕业来到NHS医院后发生的一系列有趣的故事， 于2002年11月11日在BBC首播，直到12月16日结束，共6集，英国版DVD在2007年10月29日发布。片名TLC的本意是 "Tender Loving Care"（细心护理），但是在本剧中更代表着 "Total Lack of Concern"（缺乏睡眠）。
