本作品是以志茂的漫画为原作，描写OL丸山真由美和其上司堤司部长的关系的爱情喜剧。故事的主人公圆相扑和丸山，比起三顿饭更喜欢工作。有一天，她在公司的酒会之后，和以“按时上去”为口号的堤司部长越过了界限。和死板的印象不同，maru喜欢上了温柔的部长，第二天“我们是大人，应该知道吧？”被说了。在剧中，两人工作方式和想法都不同，本剧将刻画令人着急的恋爱模样。
