抗战大剧《大掌门》根据长篇小说《画年》改编而成，讲述了“七七事变”前后杨家埠的民间艺人和爱国志士，为保护祖宗传下来的艺术瑰宝，与日本侵略者斗智斗勇、拼死抗争的故事。
改编影片将由石原里美饰演小说中的母亲角色，永野芽郁饰演她的女儿（比石原里美小12岁）。本片预定于2021年上映。
