《打黑重案组》故事发生在南方市，当地的公安局打黑重案组遭遇到一桩棘手案件。在破案过程中，重案组受到各种各样的阻挠，案件侦破几度中断。但公安局长和乾警们不为困难所阻，不顾自己和家人所遭受的苦痛，坚持调查最终查清案情，一举打掉了南方市的黑恶组织。
