这是一部由盖．汉弥顿导演的英国风味浓厚的推理片，取材于艾嘉沙克莉丝蒂的作品。演员阵容可谓强大。剧情讲述一个孤岛上的豪华旅馆住着十位住客，他们彼此心怀鬼胎。其中一个女子突然被杀，在比利时名探浦若的细心分析下终于查出真凶。本片中的海洋风光令人有一种度假般的闲适感。虽然本片在前半部人物关系的交代上稍嫌混乱，但片尾的案情解释仍相当精彩。
